NEW YORK, April 18, 2018 – Veteran property appraiser Eric Lewis, MAI, FRICS, will take the helm as President of the Valuation & Advisory (V&A) platform for the Americas, global commercial real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield announced today. Lewis, who most recently served as Executive Managing Director and Practice Group Leader of the firm’s V&A Hospitality & Gaming practice, has worked for Cushman & Wakefield for 26 years.
As President, Lewis will oversee the operations of the Americas V&A group, which spans 600 professionals across six core services, 17 practice groups, and 70 offices. He will be responsible for driving the primary business objectives and activities of V&A in the Americas, including the platform’s aggressive growth and technology initiatives. Last year, the Cushman & Wakefield V&A team appraised 31,740 properties in the United States valued at $1.16 trillion (USD) and 3,710 properties valued at $146 billion (CAN) in Canada.
Before his promotion and since 2005, Lewis oversaw the V&A platform’s Hospitality & Gaming (H&G) group as Practice Lead. In that role, he managed 25 senior valuation professionals dedicated to the hospitality industry. In 2017, the group appraised properties valued at more than $76 billion involving virtually every H&G property type.

Lewis entered the real estate appraisal business in 1987 and joined Cushman & Wakefield in 1992. He holds a Master’s in Real Estate Valuation from New York University and is based in New York City.
